Mrs. Sullivan here - I have recently joined this forum and live in Portland. I am interested in meeting others in the area of like mind, and would like to inquire as to whether there are any meet-ups scheduled for the near future? My biggest obstacle to socializing is working an odd schedule which includes working on Sundays, so most weekend meets are out unless they are on Saturday.

I have recently enjoyed attending the Rose City Vaudeville shows here in town, although last Thursday was their final performance at the Hippodrome. I understand that they will soon be performing at Last Thursday on Alberta St., and am curious if there is any interest in a group outing?

The hordes of loathsome yuppies commonly attending Last Thursdays tend to allow their valuables to dangle dangerously far from their personages when under the influence of spirits, which they most frequently are. Those steampunks geared toward vocations of ill-repute may find a casual Thursday saunter down Alberta Street profitable...

I realize that this is a somewhat old thread, and that the meeting time is no longer relevant, but I am a portlander as well.

I am relatively new to steampunk, and I haven't had a chance to meet any others in my area. I was beginning to think they only existed online!

Hello The Crow Again!

I thought I would pop my head in and see what's happening - just to let you know, there will be a Champagne and Croquet neo-Victorian party at Laurelhurst Park on Sept. 14. You must come dressed in Victorian garb. Many Portland steampunks will be there.

Unfortunately I don't have much in the way of Victorian clothing, I'm trying to make some things, but I don't have a dress form yet, so it's very difficult.

Would you happen to know any places that sell and/or rent those types of things?
