Hey, any of you english people here (not sure how many of us are here) is anyone going to this festival of sorts? Its a big event for goths, steampunks and generally anyone who wants to dress up and stuffs

I've booted this over to Brittannia, where it will fit a little better.

I had an amazing time at the festival in April. Abney Park were fantastic and I came away so full of steampunk that I needed to redesign my clothes from the stitching up. If you're going there in October, I implore you to take a ride on the steam bus.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the one in October. All my Autumnal resources are bent towards the Asylum in September. (http://steampunk.synthasite.com/). As it's the inaugural event, it would seem poor form to miss it.

I went for the October fest in 2005 and had a blast!

Funds have been tight so I haven't been able to go since.

Would love to come - I've never been to Whitby - but my good lady is expecting the following week and, in her own words, she doubts she'll fit into a corset at that stage.

Hoping to do the 2010 April one though.

I'll be attending my first whitby weekend since moving to the UK, and I've heard only good things. Hopefully it will live up to it.
