Paka
This wonderful, monstrous invention was clattering its way around the faire all weekend. Part horse, part donkey, part dragon, part remote-controlled junk heap. Apparently, it’s called ‘Paka’. We all loved it!

I kept catching sight of this thing – it has a very loud mechanical whinny which announced its coming.
It did! While incredibly sleep-deprived on the Sunday, I was sitting outside smoking when this thing came rolling out. It came RIGHT up to me, so I did the logical thing and ran and hid behind the big DNA sculpture thing until it wasn’t looking, then ran up behind it and pulled its tail.
Everyone in Newcastle now thinks I’m mental.
